The self-service instructions below set up a Unix account for you on the server (if you don't have one), and set up a connection between your Unix account and your UNH OneDrive account. Both accounts use your UNH password.

You can access your UNH OneDrive files either by clicking in your UNH webmail, or through the OneDrive app on your laptop or phone.

Once access is set up, you will have server web files on the server.

Once access is set up, there will be copies of your server web files in a folder in your UNH OneDrive. It is these file copies that you create and/or modify. These copies, your OneDrive web files, sync with your server web files every 60 minutes.

Even if you have an account on the server, you will need to carry out the instructions below to enable the connection between your server web files and your OneDrive web files. This connection must be re-enabled each time your UNH password changes.

The folder in OneDrive is called UNH_department_server. This folder may be inside the folder MyFiles in your OneDrive files, depending on how you are accessing OneDrive.

Once access is set up, to access your web site, and for instructions on how to modify your OneDrive web files, click on Computing > Pages in the navigation menu above.

This access must be re-enabled each time your UNH password changes. Just repeat the steps below.

OneDrive Folder Setup

 

1. The following works only on the Chrome browser, not Safari.
2. Click this link. This is the request URL.
3. The request URL takes you to a microsoft sign-in page, then the UNH login page. After this, you are sent to a blank web page.
4. Copy the blank web page's URL (all of it) from the browser's address bar. This is the response URL, valid only for 60 minutes.
5. • Paste the response URL below
   • Click Submit once only and wait until you see "OneDrive sync is set up".

   • This may take a while --- 15 minutes if you have lots of files in OneDrive.
6. Now there is a folder called UNH_department_server in your OneDrive folder.
7. After this, when you make changes to your OneDrive web files, the changes propagate to your server web files every 60 minutes.
If this is too long a period for you, you can propagate the changes immediately by repeating the above steps at any time.
